View Full Version : Snap OS 4: Can't Configure Email Failure Notification

I've upgraded my Snap 4100 to the latest OS 4. I visited the config/debug page and reset the failure email address. Then I try to set the address and am told that the email couldn't be sent.

My email server is, of course, at my ISP (RoadRunner). I PINGed the server using the friendly address given in my Outlook settings (pop-server.woh.rr.com) and got the IP address. I used that as the address in SnapOS4.

I'm going through a Linksys WRT54G and using it as a firewall, if that makes any difference. Has anyone had and solved this problem?

I had a clue when I PINGed the mail server's friendly address twice and got two different IP addresses. Found out what the correct one was supposed to be and now it works. D'oh!
