...but here's one more. How can you determine the temperature of your Snap Server, and what is considered normal operating temperature for the 2000?

Sorry, there is no way to tell the temperature of the 2000 via software.

Suppose you could get a temperature probe
You should find as long as the fan is running and you have it on a solid surface, it will draw enough air in (2200's have intake on bottom, i had it on my bed and it got warm)
They are made to draw the amount of air
The temp will be the HDD temp, and a small amount from the motherboard.
They have been known to work for weeks and months in server cabinets, no problems
