Indeed, however Intel has dragged its heels so much on the issue of 64 bit in P4's (not even sure normal 915/925 support 64 bit at all yet, and 875 probably never will) that I'd stay a bit conservative about these claims till we've seen some performance tests.

XP-64 won't even run on the Turnwater stuff yet, so its news, but we'll have to see how it works out in practice.

I've heard that 64 bit performance is pretty bad and that they're holding out for a rev2 that will compare better with AMD. I haven't seen any benchmarks i really trust though (Aces, etc).

Yep, also known as the "worst kept secret" in the electronics industry. They've been on this for a very long time (6 months+).

Well that figures given the silence. Revision 2 hehe, maybe like the 720 where they are trying to double the cache to 2mb (I thought to help with the longer pipeline) and maybe touch up the 64bit?
