Well, as the title implies I am wondering which is the better of the two games; Call Of Duty or Battlefield: Vietnam?

call of duty

I have both

I just could never really get into BF:V, but I loved 1942

Now I find myself playing COD multiplayer all the time, and the singleplayer is great too

I am mostly going for a single player experience here, knowing that which would you choose?

COD is better single, BF;V has a crappy single with really retarted AI.

single player for COD is fantastic, better than Medal of Honor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein (I love RTCW multi btw) by a long shot

You will enjoy it, especially if you enjoy a more realistic single player experience

have to chime in - CoD SP kicks the crap out of all the BF series games.

I like the CoD MP better also, but my gaming group likes BF:V. The new WW2 mod for BF:V is nice - the maps are at least slightly balanced.

CoD also has a better physics engine which aids in the immersion factor.

I dislike BF:V... but some of the new mods are quite awesome. Point of Existence, for one.

CoD has a cool single player, and the MP is fun, but the BF games have so much more stuff, that the multiplayer experience is completely different.

Hi IMO CoD without a doubt has better SP then BF:V, however BF:V definitly has a better MP :)

BF based MP has the benefit of huge maps.

On the downside, they have huge maps.

Some maps it takes minutes to get from your flag to find an enemy. Most of my CoD matches are done in less than 5 min (12 on 12 maps)

BF tickets encourage "death rushes" where body counts don't matter too much. CoD makes you measure life in a more accurate/realistic way. CoD is much closer to "how it is" (tm).

Also to chime in, I check the Xfire ratings

CoD multiplayer is #2 (after some fools playing counterstrike) while BF and BF:V are in the 5-6 range.
