Dielectric Grease on AMD chip

Is there any problems using Dielectric Grease on top of the chip (bridges etc, less the center slug) just incase condensation forms around the center slug and drips on the chip itself. What's everyones oppinion? Anybody do this before?

No problems that I know of, I used vaseline.

Vas is nice, its clear, and its hard to see if you smudge it all over your board. Grease will become messy fast

I have heard vas can corrode the tracks on PCB, don't know if that's myth or whether it does happen though, I used non-setting silcone. :)

I once tryed to coat the area around my cpu with dieletric grease and then silicon over it, only thing i got some water on it when installing a line and it went under the silicon and i had to peel it all off "that realy sucked" so now i use the grease and fiber glass, yes fiber glass all around the cpu so far i've got down to 16F with out the cpu overclocked with no problem. :)
