View Full Version : Snap 200 just died. Need assistance
Hello All.
I am new here. I have a Meridian Snap 2000 that just died. I unpluged it once and let it sit for 5 min. and then it started back up. sysuspect an internal fan. How do I get the case open to check the fan???

There is one screw that hold the case together. If you lay the case on it's side with the led down. Remove the screw from the back, by the fan. Then the top half will slide toward the back about 1/2" then lift the top off.
I got the case open. Reseated mem , reset plgs from power supply and blew out case.
Lets see how long she runs. I did not see an internal fan. Does this unit have an internal fan ??
TIA
Todd
Help,
Drive lasted about 2 hours into back up and it gave up. Any ideas I can try. Small exhaust fan is working OK.
TIA

My 2000 had problem on the power connections to the drives. Look and see if your's are dis-colored. If so use a small pick and tighten the connections.
