I decided to make a quick 4 link setup with some TLT parts and a Chassis I fabbed up so I could do some crawling this weekend with the daughter. Quick and dirty build. :hammer:
Specs:
Clod Axles Locked with rubber shielded bearings
65T Team Integy Lathe Motors
Stock 13T Pinions
Traxxas XL-1 ESC
4WS with 2 Futaba S3003 Steering Servos. (Yes weak, but all I got for now.)
2400mah battery
4AA Receiver pack
IMEX 2.2 Swamp Dawgs
Stock Clod Buster Chevy body

Yeah it is kinda high but I plan on muddin and some water crossing with it as well as some crawling. The front steering links and position of the body are a negative as they get hung up a bit but it will do for this weekend. Will get some more pics when I run it this weekend.

Here is a trial run movie I just did. Only thing to climb near by is this pipe. :evilaugh:

be careful fording the mighty rivers with that thing, unless you seal those motors.

NICE little RTI video though.

I already drove it into the river once. Motors run fine under water but the ESC is not water proof.

Here are some more up to date pics. Since these pics I changed out the shocks which added a 1/2" to the height.

I am going ot get some Pro-Line 40 Series Moab XL Tires and some Pro-Line 40 Series 23mm HD Cheyenne Weld Wheels to stick on it. Need some 8 tooth pinions for crawling.

Those almost look like Ofna Monster Blazer wheels. I think I like the way the truck looks on the old wheels better. But the new ones are definately goung to be better for water crossing. Are they boyant enough to float the truck?

Those are the stock Clod Buster wheels and tires. They float the truck for a few seconds but the wheels have air holes in them to squish the tires when they hit something and to help with traction. If I remember I will seal those holes and see what happens this weekend when I go to the river.

I like the other wheels and tires to but they are about 1 1/4" smaller and limit ground clearance. That is why I am going to buy the Proline Moab XL's and some rims. They are 7" tall. These clod tires are 6" tall and the Swamp Dawgs in the first pics are 4 3/4" tall.

Can't wait to see it on the new wheels.

Yup, she floats. I didn't get around to sealing to holes but I got some vid before the tires filled up. If the tires were sealed it would keep floating. I completely forgot the receiver and power switch were mounted low on the frame and were under water as well with no water proofing. Truck still runs though.

This 4 link chassis sucks though. I need to make some major changes to it. Just a quick build to get it rolling anyway.
