hrm ... tapped the power button, and it rebooted.
its taking a super long time to come up. it looks like the disks are rebuilding.
i cant image that the sync would happen every time the device was started?
Also, what is the command from the serial console to reboot the device? if i use reboot -n, it says i should use shutdown (typical linux response), but there is no shutdown.
cant get to it via the web browser, so i had to use the power button.

CMOS battery dead?
Hard Disk losing life?
Snap manger should see the unit if it is on the same subnet.
They take a while to boot up if they have been shut down (7 to 10 minutes).
Linux commands I cannot help with, not my department.
health light flashes green, then orange, then green, then orange = error
If the array is rebuidling, I am going to have to say you have a bad drive in there.

once the box comes online, all the drives appear healthy.
On a side note, i do find it interesting that PCI BusMastering does not appear to be enabled at the bios (looking at the startup messages). I would think that any I/O that could be offloaded from the CPU to devices for bus and memory access would be preferrable.

After talking to you in MSN Messenger, I have to say it is a 90% chance it is a weak drive.
