The Very complicated, and extensive cooling system in DH3 will be filled and fired up tonght! Maybe a pic or 2 will be posted http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

Every night for the last 4 weeks I have been bust'n my hump on it and its about 99% done!
If all goes well I will start on the write up this weekend, and hopefully have it up by Friday.

was thinking... This write up may very well be Sharkey Extreme lenght!! hehehe I woudlnt doubt this to be a 15 - 20 page article ( it will be well indexed though, and broke up into parts)

Argh.. I have got a BAD case of rug burn on my knees ( not from that .. sicko's) but from working on my floor on DH3 ALL NIGHT.

I found some wire'n issues and had to cut and re-solder about 6 lines so that took a while, I got the modd'd DD5 put back in and hooked up, and I just shocked myself twice in a row with 2 switches which are DPDT switches.. so when they are "off" the energise the other set of prongs. ( which I knew about and just avoided for now.. but I landed my hand on em TWICE tonight.)... 120v gets yer heart pump'n a bit... but it doesnt hurt.

I will throw a pic up tomarrow, DH3 is spread all over my floor to re do this stuff, I also want to get the NEON put in before I put any pic's up.

Tomarrow you will have some pic's, no many, but some.

I have a few more changes I want to make on it also that I just thought about. I went for like 1 month without even scratching myself in this project, and today I have cut, bumped, bruised, crushed, and slammed parts of myself in DH3... I am hurt'n pretty bad right now http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

K guys you get 1 Pic, this is of DH3 as done as it is from 5 min ago. I got the Neon put in ( WHAT A BITCH IT WAS... the 2nd tube you cant see its tucked away next to the 5 1/4 bays.. talk about a pain I just spent 2 hours on that!)

Fat People are not meant to bend in the ways I was to get this stuff in, but the ONLY thing left to do with DH3 is to Mix the special coolant and some other minor things. I think I got all the major stuff done. brb with a pic

BTW you can see soem of the mod'n I did to one of the radiators. the one further away from you doesnt normally have a hose connection on the top http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

heh heh heh

I think that I know too...

I am assuming Joe that that blur to the far right is either a liquid cooled PSU or a heat exchanger unit (I think the latter). I cant quite think what those other things are but I will have to see. Good work Joe!!!

Nope.. But I was thinking of a flow meter.. but it was too much too late.

Also they arent that ground breaking, just something that I havent seen used before.. so dont think its some hyper high tech thing http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think they are waterblocks, I first thought he was covering the PSU's name so he wouldn't get sued or something for free advertisement, but then I said nah.

Nope not water blocks. and the PSU is just some generic 300watt jobber I had laying around. I am pondering swapping it with a 431 450 or 531 watt PSU. ( concerned as having a 531+ the 300watt for the computer+ the pumps = over 850watts = over 20 Amps on the 120V exceeding the rating for the wire/Switches/and house wireing. so I gotta be careful a 431 or 450 seems like a good bet though. how else can I power 2 120+watt Pelts?

Hey Joe dont feel bad about the mess, if I had a digital cam I would show you a pic of my room that I am moding my rig in.... there are all sorts of PSUs cables, tools, cases, monitors, car parts, radiators, aluminium bits, books....

Anyway I am REALLY looking forward to the article. I dont care how long it is... it could be 30 pages and I still would not care!

Make it long and have TONs of pics!

an update:

the write up is around 1/3 to 1/2 done. I will not be working on it tonight as I have to study for the last MCSE test I am take'n tomarrow morning at 9:00am. But I will have it up and posted by Friday night as I said. ( I was planning for thrusday night but I needed to get this test out of the way first. )

I had a very bad case of writers block for the last 2 days, but last night I finnaly got the article to flow like I wanted. ( since this si a big departure from the writing method and style that I have used before it threw me for a loop and frustrated me for a couple days as I tried to focus. But I am well under way. Basicly the cooling system, and the intro is done. I have 2 more parts to do, the Electrical/Temp and Case Mod'n.

If you want pictures... you got em.. I feel sorry for modem users http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif hehehe I am averaging 10 - 20 pictures on a page http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif hehehehe

Hey Joe!

I have a 56k dialup (though it only runs at 33.6 due to house wiring) and I don't mind. Give me 30+ images per page! hehe

How many pages do you have so far? How many for each section?

I am a bit of an English person, how did you have to change your writing style?

Anyway good luck with the exam, I will be doing the same one around this time next year.

Bye!

Pages? I dunno quite a few though http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

Changes in my writing style is more about the flow then anything. I am used to writing articles that flow in one cotinuous thought and progression from start to finish. but this one I have had to break it up into multiple segments and I had alot of trouble starting it. But its all good now. http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

You know something... I am becoming DAMN sick of DH3 http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

I need a couple extra arms to type and such. The parts I have done as of last night are the Intro, 90% of the cooling system, and 99% of the electrical. all thats left is the Case Modding, and the conclusion.

Even when I get the writing done I still need to work out how I am going to link them all. I am working on some index ideas, vs a straight one way link.

At a possible 20+ pages when its done I will need to provide some link action thats better then just a one way link to the next page.

Consider DH3 my Xmas Present to you guys! http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif Definitely something you and surf around and read while your family is over for the holidays http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

Actually, I did the same thing when I wrote up Project Little Stealth, I charted it out on paper, divided it into 5 groups of things I had done, and then under those 5 I put the highlights and the points I wanted to cover. Worked out rather well. I really wish I had paid more attention in school tho. http://www.procooling.com/ubb/smile.gif

for almost half a year do you have any
comments or observations? I enjoyed reading
your contruction details and was also
curious how you are using it ie) applications, etc.

hahaaha

Nope its never been run with a computer in it yet.. I am still waiting for my Dual Tbird boards to start coming out.

Its actually in the process of being taken apart to be re-done.. I am improving the cooling system in a few ways. Should be done in a month or so.
