What wattage Peltier should I use on my KT7-RAIDs chipset?

how about a Guillemot GeForce 2 MX

40W is enough i think..

since those chipsets put 15W???? out

15-20 max estimated.. maybe even less.

would it be safe to use a ICE-71 80Watt pelt on it... its 40x40mm... what are the dimensions of the average chipset? and what would you recommend i buy (www.tedist.com)

thanks for the help by the way, no one else has replied after many many posts

and would silicone conformal coating and 2cooltek adhesive closed cell foam be enough to prevent condensation on the chipset.

also... is it ok to coat the entire backside of my mobo with silicone conformal coating? i heard it traps in heat

I think a 30mmx30mm would work better, but you could go with 40x40.. Not sure about the dimensions.. If you went with an 80watt, I'd try to run it at a lower voltage, like 7v. I had considered running my 50watt on my GF2MX, but I think I'll wait till I get a better card..

If you use TOO much cooling eventually it will cool the surrounding board to a dangerous level where water would form. I am just not a fan of fairly uncontroled cooling. You may want to look into a pelt temp control unit at that point.

Who cares about some water? ;)
Just at that 174 Watt pelt on yer chipset  .
