I was looking for dielectric grease and the sales guy @ radioshack recommended me this thing called
Precision Oiler With TEFLON® (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F005%5F012%5F000%5F000&product%5Fid=64%2D2301&MSCSProfile=745D84CBF04D14A48AA6FF9C89D722C036698F 129F4C93D891A07105F1015CEB4C6BCD8DEC5AE5EA7D4B5B52 C206DE0252D40EE138DC7ADEBA9825156639A336445A36ECC7 EE549809D97E519522AA5AA9C61D0B769C1D9573B591410AC7 F8C3C612F4C2E1D081C652F03DFEEE7468E122FDDCA520684F 6CEBF5C683AA220EC460908437061765D8)

Can it be used instead of dielectric grease and vaseline in the socket?
'cause I can't locate a place that sells dielectric grease close by in NYC.

Thanks,

Al

Edit: the link doesn't work, probably because it's damn too long... look at this: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F005%5F012%5F000%5F000&product%5Fid=64%2D2301&MSCSProfile=745D84CBF04D14A48AA6FF9C89D722C036698F 129F4C93D891A07105F1015CEB4C6BCD8DEC5AE5EA7D4B5B52 C206DE0252D40EE138DC7ADEBA9825156639A336445A36ECC7 EE549809D97E519522AA5AA9C61D0B769C1D9573B591410AC7 F8C3C612F4C2E1D081C652F03DFEEE7468E122FDDCA520684F 6CEBF5C683AA220EC460908437061765D8

Edit2: Ok. Hey Kevin, how is this stupid radioshack link supposed to work here, am I doing something wrong? any ideas?
Can you guys do me favor and just copy/paste "Cat.#: 64-2301" as a search term @ radioshack.com Thx;0)

that link works fine.

EDIT: oh yeah the stuff, it looks a little thin for use instead of dieletric grease. A better bet looks like http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F005%5F012%5F000%5F000&product%5Fid=64%2D2326

You might try this link if you are unsure of the product from Radio Shack. (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/lubdiellub.html) You may also want to try looking at Auto Parts stores for bulb grease.

I'd have to go safe and order a tube of lubrex from sidewinder computers on thier site.

Thanks a lot guys ;0)

Ok I ordered luberex to be sure as you recommended.

BTW for your info, swiftech is selling luberex for $3.99.
