Every case mod forum needs a case mod gallery! Post your pics/specs here, try to keep it under 800 pixels wide.

Please put an image of your case in the post. Having a link to your site with details is cool, but at least give us something to tempt us to go there :)

Also if your post turns into a Red X and stays that way for more than a day or two (stuff breaks, we understand) it'll be deleted...

IF YOU NEED IMAGE HOSTING:

I have set up a public image server for this forum.
FTP into ftp://ftp.imagesite.ihelix.net:2100 and create a folder. Name it your Pro/Cooling username. In there you can dump your pics.
Now when you post, have your IMG tag point to http://imagesite.ihelix.net:85/YourFolder/YourPic.jpg

Because all access is anonymous there no renaming or deleting files or folders already up there. If you want something deleted PM me.

IF YOU ARE USING INTERNET EXPLORER: Dont right click and hit 'new folder', it will make a 'new folder' which you will not be able to rename. Instead make a new folder on your desktop, name it, put files in it, and drag it into the FTP site.

EDIT: My port 80 is blocked, I have movied it to port 85. Edit your posts to use http://imagesite.ihelix.net:85

And lets get this going!

My current box is a very early mod, my first. This was 'back in the day' when nobody was crazy enough to put lights and a window in *a computer?*
It started out as a KA7 with a Athlon 750 overclocked to 800 using FSB and 384MB PC133. My KA7 died of capacitor explosion (ABIT got a bad shipment of caps right around the time I got mine... many KA7s have blown up) so I upgraded to a KG7 and T-Bird 1.4. This case is getting old (and cramped to work in) and I need a LAN party box, so the innards will soon be transferred to a Lian-Li PC30.

But anyway here are the specs...
ABit KG7-RAID, AMD Athlon T-Bird 1400
512MB Crucial PC2100 ECC Unregistered
ASUS V8200 Deluxe GeForce3 Graphics
Adaptec 19160 SCSI with Seagate 36GB drive
3Com and Cheapo LAN cards for external and internal networks
SBLive!
Toshiba SD-M1402 DVD, 12x10x32 PlexWriter, 4x2x20 PlexWriter (good for Tribes2 CD!
Fans controlled by DigitalDoc5

And here she is:

OK never mind... I renamed the files and it worked...

So here's my KOOLROD...

The parts:

These pics were taken after I uninstalled the copper plate and Drift 0.8 172W pelt. Simply went back to straight aquacooling... The pelt was releasing so much heat, so I took it off... so much that small 150GPH United submersible pump in the CPUFX aluminum res can possibly bear... but I'm going to build my self a new rig soon in my Addtronics 7896A, so I'll use it then with a worry free Eheim...

DD5 relay switch mod to hush down those two screamin' 130CFm Deltas on the BI2.

With the Drift 0.8 installed I ran the XP 1800+ literally @ 1800MHZ (12X150) for a short while, but now I'm running it @ 2000+... but I'm fortunate that it will show better performance when I finish setting my new rig soon using BI Extreme, MAZE2 and Eheim 1250, all with 1/2" fittings ;0)

BTW sorry about the picture quality, I don't own a Digicam yet, I used my friend's in a rush... I'll post better pictures soon...

I took those pics a few days ago and have made a few changes since then but you can see the general idea. The mobo is an MSI Nforce and the hsf is a cooljag. Having the intake fans right next to the processor keeps it around 100F and the processor is an Athlon XP1800 at default. The PSU is a seventeam 300W 1u with 3 cooling fans.

The monitor is 15" aid is velcroed on. I am going to get around to mounting it properly but I wanted to see how it looked first before I decided on the position.

This was inspired by my past work on building hot rods and race cars. First I made a mockup to see if it was what I wanted. Then I proceded to build a case from the ground up.

They are the air intakes :)

Fixittt
03-28-2002, 05:34 PM
they will be, will have a 120 mm fan under each carb blowing in, thrue a rad. and high cfm 80mm fans on the ends of the header tubes sucking the heated air out, and maybe side fan or summin to.
