Enermax 650 is the noisest part of my case (Lian Li -PC 68). What do you think - can I change its fans? I want to fit 80 mm Papst (19db) and 92mm Enermax (21 db) instead of its native fans.
Thank you.

why not run a 55cfm 120mm on the bottom, and an 80mm at the front, both blowing in, with no exhaust fan

I have never opened the PSU yet. What do you think - can I open it and close after changing the fans?
Thank you.

I switched mine around, and had no troubles. I have an enermax 365 in mine. The culprit turned out to be the 92mm fan on the bottom of the PSU. (the 80mm fan was temp. controlled, and ran quite once I switched to watercooling, due to the lower case temps) I unplugged the 92mm fan from the PSU's PCB, added a length of wire to the leads, and ran it to a switch at the front of the case. At 5-7V, the fan is silent. At 12v, it howls. :) If your case is well cooled, or if there's positive pressure in the case, you could run both fans at low speed and probably be OK.

don't electrocute yourself.

What about cooling the case (Lian Li PC-68) with pelts?

you could run like an 80 watt pelt on your cpu with a rather large fan/heatsink combo....but 80 watts won't do anything for you...it could actaully be detrimental to your over all cpu temp. You need to water cool to get the 'big boys'.
