Seems like a decent review; although he does not use the XP diode, he uses two calibrates probes. His mounting method seems pretty efficient too; using the same for each block. His conclusion is that both blocks are pretty much the same; the Swifty has a lower DeltaT, but compensates with a higher flow.
I would personally get the Maze3 with the poly block as it lets you see if there's any bacterial growth or corrosion in the block.
