Volcano 9 - should i lap?

wondering, has naybody had any experience with this heatsink, should i lap it? right now my barton is running at 35 when its idle, and it doesnt go higher than 40 usually. i rarely see it above 38 actually. Would lapping it lower the temp or make it higher for this one, thanks.

It sounds like it's okay to me, why mess with it? BTW, I have a Volcano 9 and my only real complaint is that the fan is too freakin loud when rotating at full steam.

I lapped mine and got an average of 2-3C cooler temps. It's up to you because your temps are just fine ;)
