I'd apologize for being a slacker, but it is more or less expected. I wanted to alert everyone who has been running Distributedfolding that there was a pretty bad bug in one of their recent auto updates. I noticed yesterday that all of my boxes had been sitting idle at a "minimizing energy of best structure" box for several days! I ended up having to delete the directories and reinstall the text client on one box. So CHECK YOUR SYSTEMS! Since that update our team really has been struggling, with a lot of people posting goose-eggs when they had been big folders before. Look here:

and make sure your boxes are still running!

In totally unrelated news, there is a bug in Nero 6 that can wipe a hard drive if you set it to delete all files in your temp dir and set that dir to the root. I guess that's not exactly a BUG (it's doing what you tell it to do) but it could be bad news. Here's info:

Be noted that August 13th there is going to be another update. After the update I would recommend a check on your comps and make sure everything went well.

-We will be releasing a new version of the software AND a new protein on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM EST. This software update should fix a large portion of the existing bugs.
