I was wondering if say you took a block of copper/silver and sanded it with fine sand paper till you didnt have any block left then you took the metal dust(?) and added it to your water would it help to take more of the heat away from your block then plain water?

in short - NO
but good to see ya thinking out side the square

- the metal particals would have an adverse efect on your pump also, not a good idea realy. there would be no thermal advantage rather the reverse

if u want to buy every month a new pump.. go ahead..

maybe 100 tubes of AS and some heat conducting/storing solvent..
that would work a lot better..

So this solution wouldnt take heat away better? I figure that it would a little bit. I obviously dont know too well since I'm asking this but I'm wondering. ahh I wasnt planning on doing it it sounds like too much work and risk such as the problem of it settling to bottom of the pipes when it is turned off, the effects on the pump and the fun part of trying to make the dust. ooh well
