Pump: Danger Den D4

Radiator: 1977 Bonneville Heater core with custom fan shroud

LOL

This place is pretty dead now.

What's the delta t for the air in/out of the rad? What's the water temp? Dust in the rad fins?
A heater core is pretty lame on a fast quad core.

air in is 21c air out is 23c

how do you check the water temps with a t line?

how do you figure its lame?

the way I have it setup it should get rid of 400watts with ease

You need a temp sensor built in somewhere.

Thermaltake A1280 120mm Ball Bearing Case Fan
* Static Pressure: 2.97 mmH2O (max)

That's pretty low static pressure.

Skinnee's testing seems to indicate that you should be seeing a delta T much larger that 2°c for air in/out. If you can figure out a way to measure the water temp, you can see where you are on Skinee's chart and perhaps that will show where the problem is. If I had to guess, I'd think you'll find that your water temp is way high.

I don't remember which TDX insert is #1 (I used a TDX pure silver block/lapped for about a year long ago) but I'd try the most restrictive insert. That should be able to pull a little more heat out of the CPU.
