Mounting hole distances for CPUs
|
You know what also would be quite handy, an image with the dimensions of the core (core of a dlt3c to be precise) and how it is located compared to the mounting holes. Do such images exist?
I found some core info here http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/cont...docs/25175.pdf on pages 63 -66 (but thats without the mounting holes in the drawings :( ) and i dont know if i'm looking on the right images for my cpu. |

Maybe these Socket462 dimensions could be of a little help...IGES 3D model is also available...

I'm sure that the distances between the holes aren't exactly right.
So the distances the core arent either, I guess, and that core doesnt look like a T-bred B core does it? (i think its too square) |

36.14mm 66.09mm The distances for the core are OK...and it really does not matter which core it is, since the distances are shown from the center of the CPU core. |

another nice one....

It would, however, be nice to know the die sizes and IHS sizes on the P4's and A64's. If your designing a block for a certain CPU it is very good to know the size and shape of the die so you can design the block around it. |

And if the core is 11x7mm in size, the long distance is aligned with the long hole-to-hole distance, and the 7mm side of the core is aligned with the short hole-to-hole distance?

Yeah but i have a dlt3c ;)

So this should be right for me?
plz doublecheck its important (the core size isnt exactly however) http://users.pandora.be/plvl/ikke/bl...cktemplate.gif |

because on one side its 31,4mm |core - hole| and on the other its more? I'll watch out for that ;)

Since there seems to be an interest, here's a repost of some GPU dimensions that a few members here posted:

I believe BladeRunner posted this one:

Here's a 3D model of a GF2 card that I use.
