No, it would leak like mad...:D

I used ordinary bathroom silicone, #Rotor uses goop, g.i.amour used glue...

Use what is handy or easy obtainable to you, just take care that you have matching surfaces sanded (mine was sanded to 600 grit) and perfectly flat. Don't use silicone that cannot stand higher temperatures (one I used can stand 100 °C). Ofcourse, do a leak test before you put the block into the machine, and be patient and let the sealant dry (I couldn't wait more than half an hour, the block leaked...)
