Procooling/Onlinemetals Affiliation!
I know that you guys buy copper and aluminum and other misc. stuff from Online Metals. If you do so by clicking through their banner:
http://www.onlinemetals.com/images/banner_sample.gif then it supports Procooling (they give me a small commission). I'll also work on getting some special deals for Procooling as well if it looks like this is working out. |
GG, ill have to check that site out. :dome:
|
F@CK i just bought $70 worth of copper 4 days ago pH you got to tell us faster about these things
p.s. i think i ordered on friday and my order will get to me wed. with regular shipping. They also prove the tracking number on thier site, I like that. |
when you get the "Hot Asian Hookers" Affiliation I will help ya get the site into the black :) hehehehe
|
All the copper I bought for my system upgrade that I've been running a worklog from was bought from them.  :(
Oh well, I'll just have to make another project... hmm... my wife's computer is not water cooled. :evilaugh: :dome: :p :D |
Yea I know you guys already shop there. Service sounds like it is pretty good then too....good!
|
I get emails from them all the time. I buy stuff there often, usually copper and acrylic, but since I have no real way to machine the stuff I usually end up quitting before I start. Oh well, I can still buy random stuff to make useless things out of :D
|
Anyone know any cheap copper suppliers in the UK ?
|
I like them. They are 300 miles from me. UPS ground is 1 day for me. :) Their service has been great for me.
|
I was just about to place an order, kewl!

http://server6.uploadit.org/files/kb...otwinvoice.JPG Vat and delivery (it did wieght about 2kg!) make up most of it.... - for those in US, thats about $55 www.metalsontheweb.com The finnish isnt tooo great either, this is what that invioce was for: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/kbn2k3-cpunb.JPG Copper for my cpu and nb blocks. http://server6.uploadit.org/files/kb...topandbase.JPG Top for gpu block - the silver base I had made already http://server6.uploadit.org/files/kbn2k3-mosfet.JPG Copper for my mosfet block for nf7-s Big peices from there tend to be old and tarnished, brasso wont help much, but the smaller peices are newer and shiny still, which shows that they sell a lot more of the smaller copper.. which isnt suprising... Next time I will try http://www.smithsmetals.co.uk/ which I what my dad used to use at work, its probably a lot cheaper. I have also looked at a company aalco i think thats there name anyway, they sell copper a lot cheaper than MOTW but have huuuuuge min orders, the people here will mills should be able to take advantage of that, but I wont be cutting up 4 meters of 1/2" thick copper into little blocks with only a hacksaw and a dremmel.... |
Thanks for info |kbn| , will look into it, if I find anything myself will post info.
Thanks again. |
Smiths looks gr8 for copper or plastic. Shame there are no prices on there site. They will even do first stage engineering for you (ie cut the basic out line of your water block) and wont charge you for the scrap, but im sure they would charge you for the cutting so im not sure if that would save any money. Still worth considering if you live in the UK! I'll have to give em a ring when i have finnished uni n enquire about prices, 1 of the centres is only a few miles from where i live!
Than for the link! |

Re: Procooling/Onlinemetals Affiliation!
I've been using ThyssenKrupp Materials since my company buys in bulk from them.
http://www.tkmna.thyssenkrupp.com/pu...image/logo.gif http://www.tkmna.thyssenkrupp.com/pu...html/home.html The division is called Copper & Brass in the listings. The Tellurium Copper provides excellent thermal heat transfer and machinability over the regular CDA110. |
