hot out... and in

so very hot

my temps are really high and i'm getting worried about my HD

CPU 46*C, Case 35*C, MB 22*C, HD 39*C

ya... my HD is a IBM 60GXP 40gig...
is it jus me or is that temp a little too high?

oh and i do have a HD cooler on too (2 fans)

Your HDD temp is fine. The faster drives tend to run warmer. I dont see any problems with your HDD running at that temperature.

I guess I am just use to seeing 10K Drives run at 45-50C :)

PetDMC 05-30-2002 04:48 PM

oh thx

i guess i'm use to seeing it around 31*C

jtroutma 05-31-2002 03:19 PM

Yea

The drives should be warm to the touch but not burning :)

As long as you cant make breakfast on your HDD, you should be fine :)

The cooler is jsut added insurance.

I just get an 80mm fan, use a chrome wire finger grill and just let it sit on top of the drive. the grill lifts the fan a bit off the top of the drive, so the air can actually move.
