HydrX full of bugs?

about 1 month ago i water cooled my system. unsure of how much fluid it would take i bought a enough (4) HydrX to treat 1 gallon of distilled water
i used about a half gallon and the remainder was left in the gallon jug and set on my balcony so no one would get into it

i have developed a minor leak in my rad box and wanted to add some more coolant

BUT

the HydrX is a dark brownish green - nothing like the vivid day glow green it started as

is this contamined with algee? should i use it? i'm thinking NO

+++pics coming as soon as i find the cable for my camera  +++

Bit surprised this happened, although placing it in the sun was the worse possible place.

Wonder how much would have been needed to prevent this if 2 weren't enough?

An interesting experiment. I wonder how the algae "got in there"? I'm assuming you didn't have the jug top removed the whole time, although it's off in the photo.

yep it was only off to pour out the small amount seen in the yogurt cup
