Default Re: Snap OS 3.4.805, anyone?

You have a version 1 2000. It does not support LBA48bit. So the max will be < 137gig. V3 supports HD up to 137gig. This old unit only has a ATA66 interface, 40 conductor cable. It will not work with a EIDE interface.

To upgrade the HD's, config the unit for JBOD. Once complete, shutdown and install 2 new drives. The drives should be set M/S, with the master on the end of cable. The drives must be clean, NO UNIX file structure. Restart the unit. The Disk LED should stay on for some time. It takes 10 min for the system to copied from flashram to HD. After that time you should be able to connect and monitor the disk formating status.

As far as fuse blowing it was due to the RF shield at the drives power connectors. That is where I had the problem.
