nice, after reading the articles and learning about the codes, i found out the the 2600 tbred-b 333mhz i was running was origionally made to be an xp1800+ and it was low model with a redish core
i had another xp2600+ 333mhz tbred b lying around for a system im building my friend and it was origionally a 2600 (better than being an 1800, although 2800 woulda been better
)
but i also noticed it had a white core (supposed to be better for overclockin) and it was an earlier release (even better for oc) so i stuck this cpu in my system and im gonna let it burn in some and see how far it goes or how much more easily it will oc over the other 2600
i might have to get one of those 1700s like yours for the hell of it, expecially since im bout to put together a water system for myself
