The 15 gb drive in this unit was beginning to make nasty clicking sounds and having severely delayed reads while backing up data. Want to upgrade to a 500GB drive. Upgraded to 3.4.805 without an issue.

Are you still stuck on this? I just barely imaged my 10GB Snap 1000 as part of a (successful) upgrade to 80GB.
