I see what your saying. In fact I already have plans to add a thermal shut off switch that has the TC close to the heater for that very reason in case I take the block off without turning the heater off first, or I turn the flow off and forget to turn the heater off. I am setting it up however that the entire bench has to be shut off all by the same switch to prevent such a disaster.
