After you took the cooler off did you clean the TIM material and then apply AS5 and put it right back on BEFORE you lapped it? That alone would have gained you a significant drop in temps. Then you would have had a much better comparison after you lapped it and did all the other mods.

You have not proved your lap job helped.
You have not proved all the other mods helped.
You have proved that this "guide" is just a work log.

Also lapping a cooler and making it shiny does not mean you made it better. You need to make it flat not really shiny.

I am also wondering why you are considering this "Super Cooling". There is nothing super about it.

You have discovered what most of us here have discovered 8 years ago. Congrats....
