I wouldn't assume it was for the ASUS. The picture on the site has text below it stating: "Example of installation with the Asus A8N-SLI and 2 VGA cards".
I would think they used controlled heat source to do the real testing being the thing will be on dozens if not 100's of various mother boards.
Would be interesting to know what wattage range they designed it around.
