Did a search for waterfall and didn't come up with anything specific to my question. So...
Has anyone toyed w/ the idea of using a perforated pre-reservoir to "rain" fine streams of water in front of a fan?
Assuming (intuition pump here) thin "rivulets" for maximum surface area, modest fan speeds and a good catch basin (the main reservoir) that provides no direct exhaust to cut down on water loss; Could one not gain a performance advantage by cutting out the middle man (radiator)?
Or does the radiator act as a heat sink to such a degree that it doesn't matter?
I used to lurk in these forums frequently but haven't been back since my 1st water-cooled machine until this silly notion popped into my noggin' (2 years and still going strong on the 1st fill thanks to your guys' knowledge
