I'm with Metal, having a 4400, yet I'm running 3.1.079. Running 4x160gb, but at the price of 500gb drives ($99), I'm thinking about a huge upgrade! But will it work? I've been able to test with a 300gb Maxtor about a year ago, and was able to successfully boot, but why do 300 when you can 500 now?!

I also have a second 4400 that just wont boot. The little heartbeat LED on the face of the unit (amber) blinks on/off, so somehow I think the flash or OS got hosed.

I have a 14000 somewhere that's gathering dust, along with a couple of 4100's.
