nice setup jimbo. i like the DIY PSU, my style too. i have a page for my DIY 4channel +-12VDC PSU w/ backlit display, but it's not online since i'm in the process of moving & changing service. just 3 Qs out of curiosity: how many amps is your transformer rated for? are you using a FWR or zeners? what size filter caps did you use?

wow brad!!! i bet that Delta sounded cool while it was running around 15000RPM heh (whirreeeeeeeeeeeeeee)? i wish i could've measured the thrust & CFM developed by that. i'm also curious if the failure was the result of failed bearings, or excessive loads (IMHO, it was probably excessive centripital loading combined with high frequency vibrations). perhaps modding the Delta with larger bearings, precision balancing the rotor, adding a harmonic damper, increasing the rotor fillet size, & reducing the windings using thicker guage may get it to work at insane RPMs (i'd like to see that executed). i hope you were wearing safety glasses
