Mars - go fill up a bucket full of water
Take a glass - submerse it totally in the bucket.
While the glass is underwater turn it upside down and lift the bottom of it out of the water surface.
Let me know if the water pours out before the opening of the glass is clear of the water surface.
Same principle.
