Exactly the same problem as i have now, thank you so very,very, much for posting its a relief to know others had similiar problems and it wasnt just me!!!

ALL what you have suggested might be the cause of my problems, and the solutions this wee!!!! Hopefully i will have a working Snap server by the end of it, ( lol i will not get too excited yet though, lol just incase!
but i am quite confident you are right as it does sound absolutely identical in every single way!
