well that misses the reason why they are expensive here - which is the same reason why Levis etc are - european law lets the manufacturer tightly control the distribution of branded products and prevent "grey market" imports from outside the EU...
the reason why "Someone could probably make a very healthy profit buying these things in the US and shipping them over Europe" is that they'd be liable to legal action from Dell
