Either way, heat is definately a by-product here.

I have a thermometer mounted on the front grill of my dehumidifier, to measure the exhaust air temp.

When I first fire it up, from room temp, the exhaust is in the 45-50 C (112-120 F) range. Guaranteed to be hand burning hot on the compressor by my calculations, as I've never felt the urge to touch it.

After the system has stabilized, the exhaust stays pretty constant near 37 C.

These numbers were experienced at 28C ambient.
