Default MCP350 Flow Mod at Systemcooling

http://www.systemcooling.com/mcp350_mod-01.html

I'm going to guess that this voids the warranty...

Default Watercool Pro DDC

Interesting,
makes me wonder why watercool didn't do something similar when they were putting together their plexi top for the DDC, or is that little metal cap in these pics covering up another threaded hole to attach a barb?
Would this be ideal to replace for a D4 with less noise?

Seems like the ideal pump would be somewhere between the mcp650 and mcp350. Reliable, good flow at typical system head and low noise to boot. What do you think? A 650 with the sinusoidal control circuitry to reduce vibration and noise? Or a new top housing to make an MCP450?

Also, i think that the top hole in the plexi is designed in a way that it can serve as a reservoir when you add on a small hose.

Bill, would you care to elaborate on this?

As someone who's happily running an MCP-350 in a 1/2" ID loop, I'd be most interested to hear what it is that you're keeping close to your chest.

That mod would fit my DDC into the 7/16" loop a whole lot better: just swap the WB's inlet barb for 3/8". Does anyone sell housings as spare parts?

robotech's mod kinda defeats one of the best qualities of the DDC, though -- size

if size wasn't an issue, i would much rather have a 50Z/mcp600...

hmm perhaps you could use the old inlet as a mini res/T-line? Assmuning the new fitting doees not block the old inlet, if it does you could drill it.

snowwie - perhaps a 90 degree sweep would be in order; i wonder how much more restriction it would place, probably a fair bit being so close to where the action is

something for someone to try, perhaps
