52-53 idle and 57C load. BUT! I managed to get away with a SINGLE 500lph pump with this setup.
46, 200mm risers all up. I swapped the pump to a cheap 2400lph Resun King 3 pump and am getting 48-49 idle to 52-55C maximum load depending on the games I play. Quake 3 seems to stress it to 55C, Doom 3 to 54C, Far Cry to 52-53C. Its running: * AMD XP2400+ 35W @ 2700MHz at 2.016 vcore * X800 Pro VIVO Vcore & Vmem voltmodded @ XTPE BIOS, 16 pipes enabled, 590/580 (memory has no heatsink as of yet) |

lol - the water trickles slowly on the sides of the bowl. You REALLY can't hear any water activity at all.
My computer now has one 80mm fan for the Enermax PSU and an unsilenced WD 120GB JB HDD. That HDD is louder than the fan, the pond pump and anything else. That's showing you how quiet this setup is. Now the ambient temp is just under 19C (was 24C before during day) and the temps are 46-47C idle and 51C max. ![]() |

Yea I tried the "silent PC" thing a while back and was limited by my WD 120JB too. I decided the fan noise bothered me less than the hdd whine (because it kept compelling me to spend $$) and I turned my radiator fans back up for overclocking

Just wrap a bunch of foam around the JB, and it will get a lot quieter. When it's REALLY quiet in a couple of months, get a Samsung SP80-series drive, and life will be good.

As much as I'd like to wrap a bunch of foam around the JB - I'd have to get a HDD waterblock first otherwise it will overheat inside the foam.

Do me a favor... aim a floor-fan at that and tell us the temps!
