Yes, I would notice that difference. Don't get me wrong, I am still happier that I bought a reservoir than building my own this time (since I have little free time right now). But.. I would have preferred to have an easier time filling the res.

But then the difference is only noticeable when the res is almost full and you're trying to top it off?

Congrats nico... glad someone solved this mystery. Now I can go back to pondering the mysteries of plumbing a cooling loop for the first time..

Well, I didn't think all that much on the matter, to be honest. Most of my problems with the reservoir are of my own making. My res isn't the high point in the system, which complicates things to all heck and gone. Free advice: don't even think about trying to use this res when it isn't the high point. It's a total pain which I only solved by moving the case around while trying to get air out of the system.

When I was frustrated with the res, I was thinking it'd be nice if you had two holes (one higher than the other) in the sidewall to relieve pressure and allow drainage.
But I thought the idea was too outlandish. After all, it would be difficult to put a drill bit into the hole there.

So, I didn't post.

It arrived today!

I'm amazed, from friday to tuesday. The fastest shipment from the usa I have seen using mail!

Definitely being an engineering sample with no comercial value did the trick to skip the usual customs nightmare.

Many thanks to Swiftech and specially to Bill for this prize, and a service that honors the company name!
