Default AMD Making TBredA's again?!!? CHECK this out.

Check this pic:
its one of the Tbred's I got in today...

Sure Nuff, AMD is making low voltage TbredA's again... screwy shit. which is the reason the chip wont run at anything over 1.73Ghz @ 1.65v. But it runs amazingly cool, a nice change from my Tbirds

Yeah they run nice and cool! I got one myself running 1800mhz at 1.75Vcore. I had it up to 1900mhz for a bit at 1.75. Still pretty damn good for a sub $50 XP! Wish it was a B core though. I see they are only $41 at newegg right now....

Odd mine is a green A core CPU. I thought they dropped the brown?

Yeh I dunno, People also thought that the TbredA was long gone

The chip runs totally 100% stable at 1730Mhz at 1.65v so I am keeping it there, and this weekend changing the cooling on teh machine down to Silent mode.

Thinking 2 Vantec Stealth 120mm's for the general case air flow, and 2 Sanyo Denki 80mm fans on a pair of Alpha PAL HSF's... should make some nice silent cooling and still have some additional room incase I just NEED 1800Mhz

I would be extraordinarily pissed. You should have got a Barton 2500+ for the extra $20, though. There are no accidental "A"s to get there.

Umm the barton is 2x the price of the Tbred. 92$ for a barton 2500+ and 41$ for a Tbred. quite a difference.

Sort of offtopic but I'd also like to know where you (or I ) can get 75$ bartons.

I got a JIUHB DUT3C B core from newegg for the same $41 and I have had mine up to 2.2ghz @1.90v no probs and right now I have it up to 2.0Ghz at stock 1.6v. T-Bred A's suck, go to SVC, you can get JIUHB DLT3C B cores there for like $60 or even better go with the $75 barton, you won't get as much of an oc but you will have a faster processor.

I got mine from a store in the U district of seattle. They had it advertised in a computer ad rag that my in-laws get periodically. I grabbed two ... . You just have to look, I guess.

How come I have to login every two seconds?

Ah... That's odd. Why do you suppose they're doing that? Think they'd allow you to exchange it if you weren't happy with it?

Sounds like your cookies are not working right or auto login isn't set to auto. Make sure auto login is set in the options.

I doubt they would let you exchange if there was nothing wrong with it. I have no idea why they would go back to the old process unless they were being made in a different fab facility and thats what they were setup to do. Luck of the draw in any event.

My cookies were set to accept all cookies, so that's not it. (I changed it to accept only from original site) It asks me to login at completely random intervals. I'd rather not have auto login on. Just a little paranoid .

Not having it set to auto login maybe the problem. It shouldn't auto log you out though. Give it a few more days and if it doesn't start working right PM one of the staff and nag them a bit. Good luck getting a response though....

Hey! bastard, we reply

Anyway, theres a cookies setting in your profile in the forum. under Edit Options turn on Browse board with Cookies, and Auto logon with cookies. That should work. if you dont have Browse w/ cookies enabled Auto Logon freaks out a bit.

I dont' know what's going on. My browser is set right and so is my membership info. Must be a government conspiracy . Did I mention I'm paranoid about auto login?

I think you have to set it to Auto login or it shuts cookies off all together and the next option doesn't apply after that. Could be wrong though. I don't think the government cares to much if you browse procooling. Or do they........ *Starts to wonder why Joe isn't around more*....
