Default Latest setup, couple of pics

After reading recommendations for the "Deep" rad I've bought one and installed it as the pics show.
I'm more or less back to the temps I had with the "land rover" heater core setup, which pulled air in from the cavity wall.
This has the advantage of being completely attached to the PC, so that I can move it around easier when I need to get inside the case.
The only thing that puzzles me is the fact that in the last setup I had the pump inside the case, this time as you can see the pump is back outside the case. But the temp of the air inside the was no warmer with the pump in than out, you could feel the pump and it was warm, so how does that work out ?

Cheers
Chris.

PS: How do you insert more than one picture in one thread ?

If you had decent air flow in that case it wouldn't be hard to remove the extra heat from the pump .

Hi babyeater
The case has 2 X 80mm inlet fans located at the front blowing over the hard drives, 2 X 80mm outlet fans pushing air through the rad shroud, 1 X 120mm fan pulling air through the rad and the PSU has 2X 90mm fans pulling air out of the case. The PSU internal fan has a control for the speed and all the other fans are controlled by a rheostat. At the moment I have disconnected the GPU fan (it's too noisy) and I'm making a waterblock for the card.

Cheers
Chris.

Sharing the knowledge passed to me few weeks ago - you must host the pics somewhere else, and then link them in your post...

Cheers!

I just cut a piece off the pipe a little longer than the diameter, then I split the section and flattened it out. Then I put the pipe on top and drew round it with a pencil, drilled a hole for the brass barb and then used my tinsnips to cut it out a tad larger than the pipe, soldered the barb into it first and then the pipe onto it and used my bench grinder to finish it off.

Cheers
Chris.
