Default can 9800pro be 128bit?

see here
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-369&depa=1
memory config is different then normal, seems closer to a 9800se then pro...
it also used to say retail but was changed to oem... seems like they can't make up their mind on this one

so can a 9800 pro be 128bit??

thanks

hmm...I'm surprised.

Newegg is generally better than this.

Newegg ships what the manufacturers deliver. They have shipped plenty of crappy products before because people will buy it.

Caveat emptor, baby. Always.

No, all the early 9600 cards were really just 9700 cards whose memory didnt pass quality controll, so they disabled the chips that didnt pass and called it 9600. This didnt work on the 9600pro or the newer 9600 cards

The mod was to flash the bios and make it think it was a 9700. Sometimes it worked, most times you got heavy artafacting.
