Bush or Kerry: slam the US!
Much noise has been made in a "Europe vs USA" frame of mind, so I thought I'd give our European friends a chance to see us (Americans) debate our own internal issues:
Bush or Kerry? I've followed the televised debates, and I can't help being frustrated at all the over-simplifications that Bush presents: am I the only one here who can see that? I'm still a Canadien resident, so I won't get to vote this time around, but I'll be ready in 4 years. Cast your vote: it's your duty. |

Theyre both pathetic, Bush seems to be running this country likes its his own personal business, and chainey(however u spell it) is his VP of sales. Kerry doesnt know what he wants period.

Laughed hard as hell when I read that Bill! ! Best laugh I've had in several days.....thanks. Both disgust me. Makes 2 elections in a row without a sane choice. And even saying just 2 is being kind. |

Cheney and his meat puppet Bush are a great comedy routine, but really not my brand of "leader".
LP was a choice I was going with, then I heard the psycho talk about how he wants to abolish the Fed, and a few other items like that whole "EPA" thing going away. I mean who needs Gov oversight for anything?! Companies can be trusted to police themselves! Yeh thats worked ****ing great in the past! So I got the Republicans with a puppet candidate, Libertarians with a ****ing nut job, Green party with an all out no name looser, the Independent with that party pooper Nader, and the last but not least Kerry with his Herman Munster impressions.

Not sad; justice. Within a democracy you get what you deserve.
Without's the rub. The three wars hurt so many, and the implosion of American diplomacy hurt us all. Kerry promises amends and a fresh start. Here we go again. If Powell led a coup I might just welcome it. At least dictators do not play war games to impress voters. Go Powell! |

You guys have my sympathy - last time we had to choose between Chirac and Le pen*. How's that for democracy?
*he classed the extermination of the jews as a historical "detail", if that helps situate things... |

America's problem is politics is far too money based. They don't use the funds of the party to get behind the best candidates as much as they let the richest guy in the state run them.
The UK, though it moans about its politicians as much if not more as everybody else, is far more democratic and a far better structured and fair system in my opinion. I mean fighting amongst parties is terrible for the party, but it's a sign things aren't as dictator driven inside the party as other places. John Major is an excellent example.

people watching the Daily Show with Jon Stewart are "smarter" than people watching Bill O'Reilly ... mind you, the Daily Show is a news comedy show ... :P
Kerry will "fight a better war on terrorism" ... what war? congress hasn't declared war ... that's why they need the Patriot Act ... because during a state of war, laws can generally disregarded ... each wants my vote ... BUT: 1.) I live in NY, so Kerry is going to win ... 2.) I still don't know where they stand on issues I (emphasis on "I") am concerned about ... outsorcing ... in NYC, the garbage people get paid as much as teachers and you only need a HS diploma (teachers need college :P) AND being a garbage man is safer ... and nobody is outsorcing their jobs to india or wherever ... :P I just watched TV of some dude who thinks everyone is out to get us, he wrote a book (who can't write a book these days?) called "Cures they don't want you to know" ... he says that there is a cure for diabetes and cancer, but drug companies keep those away because it would kill their business ... my dad has type2 diabetes (the one where his body doesn't produce insulin at all) and I KNOW that there is no cure ... Insulin is made in the pancreas (under your stomach), people with type2 diabetes have the pancreas as "damaged" or effectivly "dead" ... so how the hell you're going to cure it????? He also said that food companies put ingridients into DIET food that make u hungry (someone should hire this guy ... that company will be rich!!!) ... personally I think people should stop going to McDonalds every other day ... If I could, I would run for president (wasn't born in the states) ... and I would stick it where it needs to be stuck (whatever "it" is :P) one question for the europeans: could u give us your perspective on the upcomming election? "they don't let us out much" (from Independance Day) NOTE: Did you know that OSCE will be watching the US elections? :P NOTE to europeans: I hope you understand how the electoral system works ... that's why bush and kerry are campaigning is just 4-5 states ... the rest are already decided ... |

Type 1: Most people with type 1 get it as children and cannot avoid getting it. Their bodies make little or no insulin so they have to take insulin shots. Type 2: Most people who get type 2 diabetes are adults. They have insulin resistance, which means that their bodies don't use insulin properly. They need to watch what they eat and exercise in order to control their diabetes. I have had type2 for close to 10 years now. |
