Default v 4.x Snap OS backrev to v 3.x on 4000?

I can take my 12000 up to 4.0.830 (won't go to 4.0.860) and back to 2.6 and wondered if you can do the same on a 4000? I don't need AD and *thought* that the v 3.4.805 would run more efficiently on the 4000.

The Snap people say on a 4000 series from a 2.x SnapOS up to a 3.x/4.x SnapOS is not reversible. I am not sure about going from 4.x to 3.x.

Since the OS resides in flashram, NO. The only one I know you can backup is the 2200, 1000v2, 1100. These are non falshram models with the os resideing on the HD. So basicly you are starting over from scratch.

Now I suspect there is some factory software that would allow this. The normal install check the Version and does not allow you to backup. And it does state that the process can not be reversed.
