Default Heatercore that fits 18x18 cm space

I'm looking for a heatercore that fits 18x18cm (7"x7") absolute maximum space WITH connects and everything ... the heatercore database didnt help much because the numbers there seem to be the cooling area ...

Thank you

I'm interested in this too cos' I got three Opel cadett brass/copper hcores and they're 19 cm wide, and even taller than that. They look great but I will have to do some severe mod's to the tower case I have (the case is f@#$in 18 cm wide...

Any info will be double appreciated!

Thx

You can easily estimate the size of the tanks by comparing them to the barbs that come out of them. Typicaly a bottom tank is anywhere between .5-.75", and the top tank is anywhere from .5-1.125". Just add 2" to the dimension that includes the tanks, and you will have a conservative estimate of the size of your hc.....

Brian W

Note: Whoever wrote that HC database (airspirit i think), you should attempt to get ppl that have the heatercores on heatercore4u.com to measure and send you the outside dimensions of the hc's. Then you could cross reference that in your database. Alot of work I know, but would be much appreciated.

I've used 2 of these in bottom of my PC-60, they are 5" wide x 7" tall counting tanks. Thats with the tubing cut off flush and holes plugged. First one I epoxied 3/8"x 1/4"NPT barbs into side of tanks. Second I cut about 2" of the barbed end of tubing (5/8") flattened the ends a bit so they were oval and epoxied them to side of tank.

Here's the one with the 5/8" copper tubing, I used Oatey's Epoxy Putty, it's very strong and much easier to work with than JB Weld.

peace.

BTW, these cost about $50 from local autoparts store.

The Chevette core will work, just measured it last night & its just under 18cm. If it was 20cm it wouldn't have fit in the spot i have it right now
