damn noob!

I've been putting together my first watercooling setup, and here is what I have so far:

- Danner Mag Drive 3 Pump
- Swiftech MCW462-UHT CPU Waterblock w/226W Pelt
- Swiftech MCW50-T GPU Waterblock w/80W Pelt
- DangerDen Z-Chip Chipset Waterblock
- Black Ice Xtreme 2 Rad
- 2 120mm 130CFM Delta Fans
- Typhoon-Quad reservoir
- 1/2" Tygon tubing
- Meanwell SP-500-15 Powersupply
- Dielectric Grease
- Neoprene
- Silicone Conformal Coating

Now I'm pretty much ready to put it all together, do a leak test, then install it. But I forgot one little detail. I forgot to get fittings for the pump, I can't connect my tubing to it!

Where can I get some fittings for my pump? Hopefully in Canada.

should be able to just go into any big hardware store like home depot, or whatever the big hardware store is up in canada and buy them.

Home Depot or Canadian Tire or Co-op will have what you need. Just take the pump in with you. With the Danners do NOT get metal barbs and do NOT overtighten. The housing on the intake side of the pump is easy to crack.

Those are good suggestions, but one problem; there are no big hardware stores like Home Depot or Canadian Tire here where I live. There is a Co-op but its a small store and is mostly for groceries. Also the threads on the pump are on the inside for the intake (the fittings on my CPU waterblock fit perfectly) but the outlet end of the pump has threads on the outside. So I'd need fittings that have threads on the inside. I haven't seen any of those before. I'll give the local stores a try but I highly doubt they'll have it.

I don't suppose there is anyone who has these fittings I can buy from them incase I have no luck finding fittings locally?

I do have the box, but there isn't much info on it. Just one piece of paper showing regular warnings, and performance info and features. Looks like there are no specs though. I'll try looking for the thread info, I'll post back soon.

Your pump requires 1/2 inch NPT Male fitting for the input,

1/2 inch NPT Female Fitting for the output (If too hard to find, I suggest that you get 1/2" NPT Union and 1/2" NPT Nipple).

That sounds about right, the info I found (which is only a pic) also says NPT:

And according to this website the thread info for 1/2" NPT threads is:

EJ Thread Size Number = 8
Thread Size In. = 1/2"
Thread Type = NPT
Threads per inch = 14
Pitch dia. Start of Ext. Thread = 0.75843

If you don't mind 5/8" barbs (1/2" tygon goes on them fine) then I have all the parts you'd need at the house.

ok, now that that is sorted out; I'm not even sure what additives to use. I've got UV reactive red dye but thats it. I kinda doubt that is going to be enough. Is there anything else I should get? :shrug:

I currently run antifreeze in all my cooling loops but I have had a bit of a problem with corrosion in the past (there are pics of my poor innovatek block around here somewhere).
