4100 supports dual RAID-1 mirrored arrays?
Have a 4100 which has been running fine with two 80GB drives as a RAID-1 mirrored array. Want to expand capacity and I understand from posts that adding two more drives expanding to RAID-5 means wipe out everything there and start all over.
For our needs, two mirrored 80GB arrays would work out just fine. Does the 4100 support this? Manual on page 19 isn't clear. Appreciate comment from someone who has tried this. Cheers de Mark Mark Smith C3H IT Services http://c3huua.nc.uua.org |

Re: 4100 supports dual RAID-1 mirrored arrays?
Yes, you can run 2 raid1's, but you will be giving up capacity. The raid5 yields more usable space.
Please verify your 4100 MB has been modified, as posted in the sticky at the top of the threads.
