I was thinking of modding my case for my Switch....
hmmm... argghhh.. hate taking it around... would be good .... hmmm...

a switch as in ethernet thingee, or as in DPDT for fan control?

just put it at the top above your psu - if it doesn't fit there put it over the top of your pci devices

Dude, they sell multiport PCI network cards that work as a 10/100 switch. You might want to look into those.
I'm not sure exactly how they work, but I will see if I can find it again. I'm not sure if it needs your host CPU to move the frames along or not, but I'd venture to guess that it shouldn't tax your CPU too much (well, maybe interrupts generated, but I don't know, I have seen what busy gig-e interfaces can do to processor utilization). -Ice-
