Default hows this?

hi all!
after a lot of tweaking and messing about with my rig, heres the spec's of it:

ABit NF7-S Rev 2 - latest bios
XP1700 @ 2.45ghz (11.5x214fsb) @ 1.8vcore (bios setting)
Corsair XMS PC3200LL - memory timings below
Memory timings at cas 2 2-2-6 @ 2.8Vdimm (memory divider set to 3/3)
IBM Deskstar 80gig ata100 hard drive
Pioneer dvd-rom/dvd-rw
Xaser 2 case modded with 120mm side fan + 4 80mm fans (2 front, 2 back)
Thermalright SLK-900U + 92mmm Tornado fan (running at about 3600RPM)
Vantec 205SL Fan controller (controlling the 120mm fan and Tornado)
Enermax 460W PSU
Excalibur IceQ 9800 Pro 128Mbs 474/383
Ilyama HA202DT 22" monitor

now i have a few links for the scores i have managed to achieve and i was just wondering how i was going?

3dmark 2001se score - best
PCmark 2002 score - best

and heres a screen shot of CPU temp, voltages and all the rest..

am i doing good or could i be getting faster scores?

a 1700+ @2450mhz on 1,8V ? That's a great chip man!
I have a dlt3c 1800+ and 2250mhz isn't stable on anything lower then 1,85V...

it does go higher, i have managed a stable boot at 216x11.5 with the same memory and so on, a little more voltage but never the less, it booted and worked!

i kinda hoped the temps where going to be good and i dont think im that disappointed either

the only way i stress test it is by having UD Agent installed and running 100% of the time. anytime the pc is overclocked or tweaked that little bit more it normally crashes and wants either more vcore or a slightly slower fsb.

recently, midnight club 2 has been exiting back to the desktop for whatever reason and i have got the cpu now at 12x200FSB rather than the above config. its on 1.775vcore and a vdimm of 2.8 at the moment. im trying to just get it stable again, for some reason, this game is making it unstable as its been fine playing games before, even at higher speeds.

im unsure of the problem, but im getting there with it and its not crashed now for a little while!

Your stress testing is lacking. That is why your computer is crashing. The nature of processors are that within the chip there will be different hot spots depending on what the chip is doing.
Because not all transistors are created equal, the rest of the chip may run at 2400+mhz but once that one logic unit is accessed and gets hot, if it cannot sustain the logic, your computer will crash.
I imagine you must be completely deaf with that kind of Fanage. I used to have a rig that was somewhat similar to that... I refused to admit it, but I was deafinately deafened by the noise it created.
Water cooling is a far better choice, especially since you have a large case. Not only does water cooling deal with hot spots much more effectively, it will keep your over all temperatures lower as well, and allow for even more overclocking.
Your luck is incredible though... I haven't seen the likes of an amd chip that overclocked >1GHz in awhile.

well to be honest the fans that i do have, arent that loud. the 4 80mm fans are the fans that came with the case and they are farily quiet. the only thing that really stands out is the tornado but thats not turned up to its maximum..

your temps are higher than mine, even when i had it up to 1.9vcore, it wasnt ever that high. i think the maximum it went to was about 46 48 under a full load and that was when it was clocked to 218x11.5..

i figured it was fine best every other thing i have thrown at it, it just goes straight through and i have no problems at all with it. its just the game being a little dicky, but other than that, i have just turned it back up now and its fine again, go figure.

oh i will add, as soon as i start prime 95, the darn program hangs and does nothing at all. i just cant be bothered with things like that. the ud agent/folding gives me normally a great indication of what its doing or not doing..

i havent ever felt ever comfortable with water cooling, mainly because no one i know has done it near to where i live and i personnally dont have a clue about what i would need/how to put it together or anything.. in that area, im a complete novice.

at the moment im running it at just around (12x202 @ 1.8vcore bios setting - midnight club 2 seems to crash at anything higher) 2.43ghz and its not going over 42C under a full load. never does. my system temp rarely goes above 15C, sometimes it might peak at say 18C but that doesnt happen that often and also i have found Motherboard monitor 5.3.4.0 to be a bit of a liar sometimes...

check the snapshot of the hardware monitor i use and the cpu/system temp in the first post, i think that was running at about 11.5x213FSB..
