Default 226W Pelt

Swiftech has 226W pelts, thought someone might be interested...

Check out the accessories section:

dTMax is 55C, a little on the low side, given most are up near 70C. I have a 220W TEC with a dTmax of 68C, from www.tekheads.co.uk, probably a better buy.

Do you know who manufactures 220W pelts?

maybe with the 55C rating it will be more like say a torquey V8 rather than a revvy I4. They both produce the same power (220kw lets say) but one does it at a lower speed with more torque, while to get the 220kw used, the I4 needs to be revved a lot higher.

ok, that was a particularly bad car analogy, but surely you can understand what I am trying to say

AL666: I'm not sure who makes them, you could mail tekheads and ask...
Brad: No I don't understand what you're saying...

nothing goes near my arse. what about another analogy.

one car is geared to 55mph, one is geared to 68mph. When you ask them to tow 2 ton's. The 55mph one might be able to do 43mph now, while the 68mph one can only do 23mph

like that one?

In relation to cars it's fine, but in relation to TECs it doesn't hold up. The power distribution across the deltaT range is linear so it'd be more like, 55mph car does 43mph, 68 mph car does 55 mph.
If you want a car analagy, you have two cars of equal power (say 220kW), and one can do 55mph and the other 68mph. That's about as much as you can relate, the dTmax = 68C will always give more deltaT than the 55C at any heat load.

well, you fully write out a new analogy then Still, you have to admit the second one was better than the first
